๐Mana Stones
Crystallized Dreams
Within the hallowed halls of the Arcane Forge, where the divine light of the Omnicon bathes all in its eternal radiance, the greatest act of mortal magic takes place daily. Here, Altarin artificers perform a miracle that would have been impossible without the blessing of Benelos himself - the transformation of pure Manite into vessels capable of holding the very essence of life.
The process begins with sacred Nites, those gleaming coins of refined manitium that pulse with barely contained energy. Under the influence of the Omnicon's divine power, these coins are melted down and reformed, their crystalline structure reorganized into new configurations capable of storing and channeling specific types of magical force. The resulting artifacts are known as Mana Stones, each one a masterwork of divine engineering.
Among all Mana Stones, none are more precious than the Soul Stones - jagged gems of brilliant blue that seem to contain entire universes within their faceted depths. Each Soul Stone is, in essence, a cosmic egg, holding within its crystalline matrix the dormant potential for a complete Treanin life. The soul, the memories, the fighting spirit - all lie sleeping within, waiting for the moment of awakening.
When Gaengroth's curse-blessing swept through the Forge, it forever changed the nature of these creations. No longer could the Altarin control which type of warrior would emerge from their Soul Stones. The divine interference randomly assigned each stone to one of the four factions, creating an element of divine chance that both frustrated and amazed the artificers who crafted them.
Yet this apparent chaos serves a greater purpose, for it ensures that no single lord can amass an army of perfectly matched warriors. The random nature of faction assignment mirrors the greater balance that both Gods sought to maintain in Trea - a reminder that even in their acts of creation, mortals remain subject to forces far greater than themselves.
Other types of Mana Stones exist as well - Fusestones that can merge multiple souls into more powerful forms, though the process remains dangerous and unpredictable. Ancient texts speak of even more exotic varieties that may someday be rediscovered, promising new ways to harness the infinite power that flows from the Fountain of Mana.
