The Children of Corruption
When Gaengroth gazed upon the newly formed world of Trea and witnessed the pure innocence of the Treanin, a terrible rage consumed him. The balance he had agreed to seemed mockingly skewed toward light - these low-humans knew nothing of the beautiful chaos that corruption could bring, the exquisite freedom found in destruction and decay. In his divine fury, the God of corruption resolved to craft beings that would teach Trea the true meaning of balance.
From the deepest wells of cosmic darkness, Gaengroth drew forth his essence and shaped it into the Orgurin. These beings were everything the Treanin were not - twisted where the low-humans were graceful, savage where they were noble, reveling in defilement where the Treanin sought to create. The Orgurin emerged as creatures of living nightmare, their forms shifting and grotesque, unified only by their insatiable hunger for destruction and their utter contempt for order.
Unlike the Treanin, who fought to protect what they loved, the Orgurin fought for the pure joy of watching things burn. They swept across Trea like a plague of locusts, not merely conquering territory but actively corrupting it, turning verdant forests into twisted wastelands and pure streams into bubbling mires of filth. Where they passed, the very essence of the land became infected with their master's chaotic energy.
The Orgurin recognized no hierarchy save that of strength, with the mightiest among them rising to become chiefs through brutal combat and cunning cruelty. These massive, nearly immobile monsters established themselves as living fortresses of corruption, their very presence a challenge to any Treanin brave enough to face them in single combat.
When death finally claimed an Orgurin, their corrupt forms would dissolve, releasing the twisted Mana energy that had sustained them back into the world. Ironically, this same energy, when properly purified and channeled, could fuel the very civilization they had sought to destroy - a final, bitter irony that Gaengroth surely savored.
